I sit here, coffee in hand, insect spray in the other, having just defeated the biggest moth known to man. Sure, I could've let it live.. but I hate moths.
Well it's been a while since this page was graced with a spoonful of blogalicious goodness, and having received inspiration from a fellow blogger , I've decided to start updating this more regularly. Before I was stuck with what to write about, I didn't really think that anyone would care what I had to say and that I should just keep my opinions to myself. But seeing as everyone else is doing it... why not?
I suppose I could blog about my favourite sports team; Arsenal, but I already follow a blog on them and there's no way in hell I'll be competing with him. I'm too busy to discover another subject to research and blog on, I'm studying full time and working when I'm not studying.
All this has brought me to the conclusion that I should blog on whatever the bloody hell I like. If you don't like it or don't agree with what I say or if you want to suggest some blog-topics, please leave a comment.
Anyway, how's about a topic for today's rant? I went to my first ever Aussie Rules match last weekend. The difference between a sporting event in Australia and one in England can't be stressed enough. I've been to many football matches in my time and at every single match there was an atmosphere, singing, angry shouting etc. The whole town is buzzing on match day and there is a real sense of pride in your team. But Down Under, the fans are all mixed together and really just go to have a pie and a pint. It could just be the laid back attitude of the Aussies but fanatical supporters are few and far between.
Now this is just based on Aussie Rules, a Rugby League match is next on my list which will hopefully be a different kettle of fish. I've heard the State of Origin games are great to watch so I'll hopefully be eating a big plateful of my own tasty words.
Well I'm fed up of this topic already and I'm out of coffee. The next instalment will be whenever I can be bothered so that should keep you on your toes.
Have a good one.
